The band Poder Assolador da Lapa
His songs with Eduardo Souto Neto are recorded by several singers. That same year, he forms the band O Poder Assolador da Lapa (known as P.A.L., which would be much like the initials C.O.C.K. in English), along with Danilo Caymmi, Piry Reis and Paulo Jobim. PAL was part of a more ambitious movement, University Composers (C.U., ditto A.R.S.E.).
